Fashion Is In The Air: A Fall Outfit Post

I know, I know, we are still technically five days away from Fall – but the cooler weather has swept the city with a vengeance. I’m okay with this – I am ready to pull out my chunky sweaters and boots and layer until I can’t layer any more.detailsblogger outfits ellepottsieVest: Levis / Sweater: Club Monaco / Scarf: Artizia / Jeans: Citizens of Humanity / Booties: Hibou / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban / Purse: Rebecca MinkoffwheelsDo you have any pieces that you are dying to pull out of storage as the seasons change?

A Day In Valentino

Sometimes an outfit just makes you feel great – this RED Valentino dress does exactly that. It is the little black dress that is work appropriate but still fun and so versatile. It will wear beautifully in the summer with bare legs and through the winter with thick black tights. ellepottsieRED ValentinooutfitStyleLaurenDress: RED Valentino / Pumps: ValentinoLBDTreat yourself – life is short!

Hello From Toronto

Fall is definitely in the air in Ontario – which is something I can get behind. Big sweaters, boots and scarves are in my dreams, but until the temperatures really start to drop I will be rocking my new favourite item of clothing. After A Little Hiatus, It’s Time For Another Round of Outfit Pictures

I know, I know, I’ve been slacking with my outfit sharing lately. Life has been crazy and showering and doing my hair taking pictures has fallen by the wayside. I’m sure you’ve all missed my smiling mug shots lots – ha! Anyways, if you did, today is your lucky day. ellepottsie ellepottsie ellepottsieellepottsie ellepottsie ellepottsieJeans: Citizens of Humanity (old) / T Shirt: Aritzia – Wilfred / Jacket: American Eagle (similar) / Purse: Chloe / Sunnies: Ray-Ban /Sandals: Anthropologie – IsaperaellepottsieHave a lovely day friends!

Fabulous Finds Friday: The Romper

Imagine waking up in the morning, throwing on one pieces of clothing [okay – maybe some shoes, and accessories too] and walking out the door looking fabulous? Sounds great right? Guess what – it is possible. Enter the romper, the playsuit, the jumper, the onsie, whatever you want to call it – it is a pair of short attached to a top. Sure you probably wore something like this when you were a baby and yes – it did look silly, but these one pieces are stylish and absolutely awesome! I am the proud owner of three rompers and I can honestly say that they are part of my regular summer outfit rotation.

Not sure which style to go for? Here are three of my favourites:JumpsuitFrom left to right, AG + Liberty Emma Romper (on sale at Anthropologie for $79.95), Wilfred Peri Romper (I own this one!) and Urban Renewal Open Back Romper.

If you’re getting tired of wearing summer dresses day in and day out, this is the perfect option to mix things up – while keeping your outfit simple and hassle free.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

A Summer Evening Outfit Post

There is nothing I love more than long summer days and patio season! Everything just seems better when the sun is still shining well after 7:00pm and there is always an excuse to throw on a cute dress and head out on the town.

The dress below is one of my favourite Anthropologie purchases ever – I found it in the sale section ages ago and when I tried it on I knew it was meant for me. It is one of those pieces of clothing that makes you feel fabulous the second you put it on.

Fabulous Finds Friday

For some reason everyday this week has felt like Friday – but lo and behold, it is now the real deal! Today’s fabulous finds are inspired by the warm summer months ahead of us – I guess you could say that this is another one of my sunny uniforms!

FAB FRI1. How cute is this Floral Recipe Box?! I am always jotting down recipes and I end up with post it notes all over the kitchen – this vintage looking tin would definitely help me declutter. And I’d probably bake more often too, just to fill it up!

2. Jeans shorts are fabulous for the summer, but this pair of Rag & Bone black cut offs will set you apart from the crowd. Just a little edgy and a lot flattering – now that is right up my alley.

3. Eye wear is absolutely essential when you’re sitting on a patio enjoying the warm weather and this Warby Parker pair will keep you looking stylish – and incognitio, if that’s what you’re going for.

4. As the days get longer, keeping track of time becomes more difficult. Wear this Nixon classic and you won’t miss a beat.

5. Treat yourself to a pedicure and then head to your local Zara [or online store] and pick up these neutral and metallic flats. Your feet will love you!

6. Top it all off with a graphic t – I’m loving all the designer parody slogans lately, especially Homies South Central which pays homage to the low rider culture in South Central LA while creatively spoofing the Hermes signature logo.

Have a wonderful Friday friends!

Outfit Post: Feeling Blue – In A Good Way

I knew that the 20+ degree weather in Ottawa was a tease! This week has been near bone chilling [okay maybe I’m exaggerating] but I’m not complaining, I’ve been dying to wear this amazing quilted jacket from Anthropologie – which is now on sale for $79.95, what a steal!

Pale Skin and Short Shorts, Summer is Here

I am embarrassed to reveal my pasty legs on the internet, but it was just too nice out this weekend to wear anything but shorts! I hope you spent as much as time outside as possible over the past few days [especially if you like in Ottawa] because the weather is about to take a turn for the worse – I’m talking 10 degrees Celsius and rain, yikes.

Put your sunglasses on, you might need them before scrolling down – my skin is blindingly white.

mr photographyI couldn’t resist snapping a paparazzi shot of my handsome photographer – he is looking summery and stylish in his lifetime shorts from NRML and an Urban Outfitters v-neck T [on sale for $4.99, what a steal].

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Rockin’ Classic Black and Sheer

Yesterday was a special day – my amazing boyfriend celebrated a milestone birthday! While I wasn’t able to top his Las Vegas birthday surprise, I did have a few tricks up my sleeve – remember the Robert Deyber art I wrote about a few weeks ago? Well, he is now the proud owner of an authentic piece – Bad Hare Day, Mona Lisa. We have already hung it in our room and it looks fabulous, we have been slowly building an art wall which I will share with you once we add a few final pieces.

We also had the please of attending the Brothers Beer Bistro April Dinner. If you haven’t attended one of these communal seating, tasting menu dinner services – I highly recommend doing so. Follow Brothers on Facebook or Twitter for updates. It is a really great experience, you get to meet interesting people while eating phenomenal foods. I snapped a picture of the menu so I could share it with you [and make your mouth water].

brothers

Expect to be greeted with a smile and a cocktail, and don’t be rushed – the full dinner service will take approximately four hours. I know it sounds like a lot, but it flies by when you are in foodie heaven! Definitely an event worth checking out if you want a unique dinner experience –  I highly recommend it.

Now onto the outfit post – I know I have been holding out on you for quite a while. Hope you’ll forgive me!
